Abstract
The article focuses on a study examining the effects of Transcendental Meditation (TM) on the well-being and resilience of paramedicine students, who are reported to experience higher rates of PTSD, anxiety, and depression compared to the general population. Conducted as a pilot randomized control trial with ten participants, the research found that those practicing TM showed significant improvements in mental clarity, resilience, and reductions in stress, depression, and fatigue compared to a control group. This study is noted as the first international investigation into TM's impact on this demographic, with findings suggesting beneficial effects on mental health. The trial was registered with the Australian New Zealand Clinical Trials Registry. [Extracted from the article]
