Abstract
The article focuses on the changes in full-body strength and power among elite rugby union athletes during a pre-season training period. It presents data on various test metrics, including jump height, contraction time, reactive strength index, and relative strength measures for back squat and bench press. The results indicate significant improvements in these metrics from pre- to post-training, highlighting the effectiveness of the conditioning program. The findings suggest practical applications for enhancing athletic performance in rugby union through targeted strength and power training. Extracted from the article
