Abstract
The article focuses on a study investigating the relationship between attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) symptoms and physical activity (PA) patterns in children, with an emphasis on sex differences and symptom types. Conducted by researchers at the Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences, the study utilized accelerometry to measure PA in a cohort of 1,514 children from the Swedish Twin Registry. Findings indicated that children with ADHD symptoms exhibited different PA patterns based on sex and symptom type, although these associations appeared to be influenced by shared genetic and environmental factors. The study highlights the need for further longitudinal research to validate these results and inform targeted interventions. [Extracted from the article]
