Abstract

This article focuses on the demographic representation of minority men in a clinical trial evaluating autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy for erectile dysfunction (ED). The study found an overrepresentation of Hispanic and Asian men compared to local and national populations, while African American men were underrepresented nationally but adequately represented locally. Strategies such as employing Hispanic staff and providing bilingual educational materials were credited with improving Hispanic participation. The authors suggest that similar approaches could enhance minority inclusion and external validity in urological clinical trials.
