Abstract
Last week Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation announced a new treatment model: integrated mental and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. This is an "expanded" model of care which was prompted by the increasing number of patients with more than one treatable mental health condition. With 79% of the treatment program's patients having, on average, 3.67 different diagnoses, including SUD, the program recognized the need to launch this program in all of its 15 locations – as well as its virtual care. The company is based in Center City, Minnesota. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
