Abstract

This article focuses on a cross-sectional study conducted in Chengdu, People's Republic of China, examining the spiritual well-being of 244 cancer patients participating in drug clinical trials. Using the Memorial Symptom Assessment Scale Short Form (MSAS-SF), Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale 10 (CD-RISC 10), and Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy-Spiritual (FACIT-SP-12), researchers found that spiritual health was generally high and positively correlated with psychological resilience. Key factors influencing spiritual well-being included religious belief, nationality, treatment regimen, and resilience, with patients holding religious beliefs, belonging to ethnic minorities, or exhibiting higher resilience showing better spiritual health. The study also noted that patients receiving single antineoplastic therapy had lower spiritual well-being compared to those undergoing other treatments.
