Abstract
A recent report from the University of Paris explores the development of the therapeutic alliance during the first five hypnotherapy sessions. The study found that the dynamics of the alliance in these initial sessions are more related to the therapist's adjustment to the patient than to the progress made by the patient. This research fills a gap in the literature, as previous studies have focused on other psychotherapeutic approaches but not hypnotherapy. The findings suggest that further investigation into the therapeutic alliance in hypnotherapy is warranted. [Extracted from the article]
