Abstract
The article presents the discussion on parental discord transmitting genetic risk for alcoholism to children. Topics include previous research showing the genes predisposing people to alcohol use disorder experiencing more conflict in the close romantic relationships; and exposed to divorce or parental relationship discord inheriting a genetic predisposition toward alcohol problems.
