Abstract
The article focuses on a study evaluating the efficacy and safety of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) for managing neuropathic orofacial pain (NOP). Conducted in Guangdong, People's Republic of China, the research analyzed thirteen randomized controlled trials involving 355 patients, finding moderate evidence that rTMS significantly reduces pain intensity and improves quality of life, although it did not show significant effects on sleep quality or psychological status. The study concluded that while rTMS is effective and safe for pain management in NOP, further research is needed to explore its impact on sleep and psychological well-being.
