Abstract

The article focuses on a study conducted in Warsaw, Poland, examining the relationship between time perspectives and anxiety and depressive symptoms. Researchers utilized Zimbardo and Boyd's Time Perspectives Theory to analyze data from a one-year study involving 566 adults. Findings indicated that decreases in self-esteem and the Present-Hedonistic time perspective, along with increases in the Past-Negative time perspective, were associated with heightened anxiety and depressive symptoms. The study highlights the implications of these results for psychological counseling and well-being literature. [Extracted from the article]
