Abstract

The article focuses on the development and evaluation of an online case-based curriculum aimed at enhancing the knowledge of haematology fellows regarding haemostatic disorders, which are often perceived as challenging in medical training. A pilot study involving four fellows utilized the University of Calgary's 'Cards' platform to present 12 interactive cases that simulated realistic patient scenarios, addressing both common and rare disorders. Feedback from trainees indicated high relevance and clarity of the cases, suggesting that the tool effectively fills gaps in traditional training by providing practical exposure to less commonly encountered conditions. Future plans include expanding the curriculum and incorporating a multi-method evaluation strategy to further assess its impact on trainee education and clinical preparedness.
