Abstract

Nurses are being left to cover whole wards on their own at night at one of England's highest-security psychiatric hospitals. Recent board papers for Rampton Hospital in Nottinghamshire reveal that nurses were left alone on night shifts almost 200 times for more than six months from May to November 2025, with 45 instances in October 2025. The papers say the practice is often due to sickness absence of staff or where out of grounds support was required elsewhere. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
