Abstract

The article focuses on two experimental studies investigating potential therapies for osteoarthritis (OA) and acute lung injury (ALI) in rat models. The first study evaluates the healing effects of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) derived exosomes on induced knee OA, finding histological improvements in cartilage and synovial membrane after treatment. The second study compares the anti-inflammatory effects of lactoferrin and dexamethasone on lipopolysaccharide-induced ALI, concluding that both agents improve lung histology, with dexamethasone showing more pronounced therapeutic benefits. Both studies utilize histological, morphometric, and statistical analyses to assess treatment efficacy.
