Abstract
This article focuses on a study conducted at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Hyderabad, India, examining the effects of Transcendental Meditation (TM) on cognitive and psychological well-being. The 12-week intervention with 34 adult volunteers demonstrated significant improvements in audiovisual reaction time, mood, sleep quality, resilience, and emotional stability. The research suggests that TM may serve as a complementary approach for enhancing mental health, stress reduction, and cognitive performance, particularly in activities requiring focus and rapid responses. The study was peer-reviewed and utilized standardized psychological assessments and reaction time measurements. [Extracted from the article]
