Abstract
The article focuses on the outcomes of hair transplantation (HT) in patients with Folliculitis decalvans (FD), a rare form of chronic cicatricial alopecia. A retrospective multi-center study included 11 patients with histologically confirmed FD who underwent HT after at least six months of disease stabilization. The study found a mean survival rate of transplanted follicular units of 75% after one year, with a patient satisfaction score averaging 7.6 out of 10. The authors suggest that HT may be a viable treatment option for stable FD, emphasizing the importance of assessing individual risks and benefits before proceeding with the procedure.
