Abstract
Researchers from the University of Prebiteriana Mackenzie in Sao Paulo, Brazil, conducted a scoping review on the etiopathogenic factors of savant syndrome associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). They analyzed 42 studies and found that while there have been reports on savant syndrome for over 100 years, recent studies have shown more structured methodologies. The research highlighted the need for further investigation into the concept, etiopathogenic theories, and psychometric assessment of savant syndrome associated with ASD. This study was peer-reviewed and published in the Review Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders. [Extracted from the article]
