Abstract

The article focuses on a study evaluating the effectiveness of accelerated transcranial magnetic stimulation (aTMS) in treating treatment-resistant depression. Conducted in Babol, Iran, the research involved 60 women aged 18 to 55 diagnosed with this psychiatric disorder, who underwent magnetic stimulation using three different coils (B65, B70, and B80) over five days. Although the study found no significant differences between the coils, it concluded that aTMS significantly reduced depressive symptoms and was well-tolerated by participants. The findings suggest that aTMS is a viable method for addressing treatment-resistant depression. [Extracted from the article]
