Abstract
The authors were able to conduct this study because they had access to confounding factors, which were limited, as well as to melanoma data, such as overall survival. Using this method, the same authors have already found that antibiotics co-prescribed with immunotherapy did not alter the prognosis of patients with melanoma as initially feared.[4] However, these databases are not "ready to use" tools. However, this large clinical study indicates that patients on these targeted therapies did not show a change in prognosis when taking PPIs concomitantly. [Extracted from the article]
