Abstract
The article focuses on a pilot study investigating the feasibility and preliminary efficacy of a telehealth intervention aimed at reducing cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors among young adults in Callaghan, Australia, who exhibit addictive eating behaviors. Conducted by researchers from Newcastle University, the study involved 53 participants aged 18-35 and included five telehealth sessions with an Accredited Practising Dietitian over eight weeks. Results indicated that while adherence to the program varied, participants reported a positive experience, and significant improvements were observed in dietary outcomes, particularly in fat intake. The study highlights the potential of telehealth interventions in reaching young adults, a demographic often challenging to engage in health programs. [Extracted from the article]
