Abstract

The article pays attention to the ambivalent association of modern psychiatry assigned religious experiences with the religious and apocalyptic visions. Topics discussed include mental state common to the paranoid and the prophet, shamans of primitive societies and cultural and political analysis of specific psychological condition.
