Abstract
A recent study conducted at Furtwangen University in Germany explored the effects of Autogenic Training, a relaxation therapy, on the flexibility of hamstring muscles and perceived stress in healthy women. Twelve female participants were randomly assigned to either a relaxation group or a stress group. The relaxation group experienced a significant decrease in perceived stress and an increase in functional flexibility, while the stress group showed no significant changes. The study suggests that Autogenic Training may be a promising intervention for reducing stress and improving flexibility. Further research is needed to evaluate the long-term effects of relaxation programs on flexibility. [Extracted from the article]
