Abstract
A recent study conducted in rural Nepal explored the integration of passive sensing technology into psychological interventions for mothers with depression. The study found that all mothers showed a reduction in depression symptoms, and there were trends towards increased movement away from the house and more time spent away from the infant as symptoms improved. The researchers concluded that passive sensing can be feasibly used in low-resource settings to personalize psychological interventions, but caution must be taken to ensure confidentiality, data protection, and meaningful interpretation of data.
