Abstract

The article focuses on a study examining the relationship between electrodermal reactivity and traits of psychopathy in children aged 9-10 years, specifically in relation to antisocial behavior (ASB) at a five-year follow-up. Conducted by researchers from Florida State University, the study involved 1,082 children from the greater Los Angeles area and utilized a longitudinal twin project design. Findings indicated that reduced skin conductance (SC) reactivity during a noise stressor task was associated with parent-rated boldness and uniquely predictive of child-reported nonaggressive ASB, while parent-rated boldness was predictive of aggressive behavior.
