Abstract
The article discusses the essential role of the specialist nurse in organ donation (SNOD) and the usual daily routines of SNODs involving patient care, clinical activities, auditing, teaching and planning. Other topics include the care provided to patients who are organ donors after death and the application of the Organ Donor (Deemed Consent) Act of 2019 to donors in Great Britain.
