Abstract
This article focuses on the motivations for vasectomy reversal (VR) among U.S. military servicemen. A retrospective review of 102 patients who underwent microsurgical VR between 2020 and 2023 found that 73% sought reversal due to fertility desires with a new partner after divorce, while about 21% wished to have more children with their original spouse. Other less common motivations included non-fertility reasons such as scrotal pain and religious beliefs. The study highlights the unique factors influencing VR decisions within this military population.
