Abstract
A clinical trial, NCT06952166, aims to evaluate the efficacy of qigong in alleviating depressive symptoms and enhancing cognitive function in older adults compared to mindfulness-based intervention, physical exercise, and waitlist control. Participants aged 60 or above are randomly assigned to different training groups lasting 12 weeks. The study also explores changes in neurobiological markers to understand the effects of qigong on depressive symptoms and cognitive function. The trial is not yet recruiting participants and is set to be completed by May 31, 2026. [Extracted from the article]
