Abstract

The article presents a study that aimed to determine the prevalence of alcohol use among patients with opioid use disorder (OUD) receiving buprenorphine treatment and analyze reported alcohol use at different time points. Topics include alcohol use is prevalent among patients receiving buprenorphine treatment for OUD; and study suggests the need for future investigations to understand the change in alcohol use in this population while undergoing treatment and optimize treatment outcomes.
