Abstract
This article focuses on disparities in prostate cancer care among transgender women, highlighting unique challenges they face in diagnosis, screening, and treatment. A scoping review of 42 studies found that while transgender women have a significantly lower risk of prostate cancer due to hormone therapy, cases still occur and barriers such as fear of stigmatization affect access to care. The literature emphasizes the need for urologists to engage in shared decision-making and provide compassionate, individualized counseling. Further research is recommended to better understand transgender women's experiences and preferences regarding prostate cancer management.
