Abstract
This article focuses on the concept of creative giftedness, defined as a high potential to produce ideas or products that are both novel and appropriate within a socio-cultural context. It traces the evolution of creative giftedness from a narrow IQ-based view of giftedness to a complex, dynamic, and multidimensional construct that integrates cognitive, motivational, personality, and environmental factors. The article highlights educational challenges in identifying and nurturing creatively gifted students, including insufficient teacher training, a testing-focused school culture, and the complexity of recognizing creative potential. It also presents recent theoretical models, empirical studies, and practical tools aimed at fostering creative giftedness through differentiated, student-centered curricula and supportive learning environments. Overall, the article underscores the importance of creative giftedness as a vital competency for the 21st century that requires informed educational strategies.
