Abstract
The article focuses on research conducted in Kastamonu, Turkiye, regarding Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs) among adolescents and young adults. The study evaluated the reliability and validity of the Turkish version of the Generic Body-Focused Repetitive Behavior Scale-8 (GBS-8) using a sample of 362 participants aged 12-30 years. Findings indicated strong internal consistency and reliability of the GBS-8, with common BFRB patterns identified, including skin picking and nail biting. The research emphasizes the need for increased awareness and tailored interventions for better management of BFRBs in clinical settings. [Extracted from the article]
