Abstract

This article presents a retrospective analysis evaluating the effectiveness of an over-the-counter combination of aspirin, acetaminophen, and caffeine (AAC) in treating menstrual migraine. The study analyzed data from 185 women with menstrual-associated migraine, comparing a single dose of AAC (250 mg aspirin, 250 mg acetaminophen, 65 mg caffeine) to placebo. Results showed that AAC significantly reduced headache pain intensity within one hour and improved quality of life by enabling patients to perform usual activities with minimal effort, with effects lasting up to six hours. The study was industry-initiated, executed, and funded by Haleon.
