Abstract
The article focuses on comparing the efficacy of holmium laser urethrotomy alone versus its combination with intralesional paclitaxel injection in treating male urethral strictures. In a prospective study of 60 patients at Ain Shams University hospitals, the combination treatment showed statistically significant improvements in symptom scores and average urinary flow rate at three months, with a lower but not statistically significant recurrence rate compared to laser urethrotomy alone. The findings suggest that adding paclitaxel may enhance midterm outcomes, though further research is needed to confirm long-term effects.
