Abstract
The article focuses on a study comparing the effects of two atypical antipsychotics, Clozapine (CLZ) and Olanzapine (OLZ), on patients with schizophrenia. Conducted in Alexandria, Egypt, the research involved 48 patients and 24 healthy individuals over six months, assessing various metabolic, cardiovascular, inflammatory, and neurotransmitter parameters. The findings indicated that while both medications increased body weight and lipid profiles, CLZ had a more significant impact on metabolic parameters and therapeutic efficacy in reducing symptoms, whereas OLZ exhibited more pronounced anti-inflammatory effects. The study aims to inform treatment decisions for individuals with schizophrenia. [Extracted from the article]
