Abstract

The article focuses on the effectiveness of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and the Athlete Rational Resilience Credo (ARRC) in improving mental health and motivation among student-athletes. Research conducted at the University of Worcester involved three amateur student-athletes who participated in psychometric assessments before and after receiving REBT and developing their own ARRC. Results indicated reductions in irrational beliefs and enhancements in self-determined motivation and mental health. The study suggests that while the findings are promising, further research with larger and more diverse populations is needed to validate these outcomes. [Extracted from the article]
