Abstract
Mucinous ovarian cancer (MOC) is a rare pathological type of ovarian epithelial cancer. Clinical treatment mostly refers to the relevant guidelines for serous ovarian cancer (SOC). However, due to the clinical symptoms of MOC, the physical characteristics and molecular biology characteristics are significantly different from SOC, necessitating careful differentiation in diagnosis and treatment. Surgery combined with adjuvant chemotherapy is the current standard treatment for MOC. However, due to its low prevalence, clinical trials are difficult to conduct, evidence-based medicine is lacking, and there is a lack of consensus on the indications for intraoperative appendectomy and the selection of postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy regimens. In addition, preclinical research on targeted therapy and immunotherapy needs further development to facilitate accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment of MOC. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
