Abstract
This article focuses on evaluating a minimally invasive surgical technique for reconstructing interdental papillary defects using subperiosteal injection of hyaluronic acid gel. In a prospective longitudinal clinical study involving 17 patients with Class I papillary recession, a horizontal incision was made apical to the papilla base to create a subperiosteal tunnel for gradual hyaluronic acid injection, followed by suturing with resorbable polyglycolic sutures. Results showed significant clinical improvements in papilla height and surface area without reported complications such as pain, hypersensitivity, or allergy, suggesting that this technique may enhance esthetic and clinical outcomes in interdental papillary management. Limitations include the need for longer follow-up and further comparative studies to confirm efficacy.
