Abstract

The article highlights the partnership of the University of Miami and Florida International University (FIU) through the National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded Center for Latino Health Research Opportunities (CLaRO) to advance multilevel, community-based participatory research and training aimed at preventing the syndemic of substance abuse, violence and trauma and HIV/AIDS among Hispanics. It informs about CLaRO's training and mentoring program and the FIU Health Disparity endowed program.
