Abstract
The article focuses on the emerging role and ethical considerations of artificial intelligence (AI) in case management, forensic vocational rehabilitation (VR), and life care planning (LCP). It highlights that while AI tools, including generative AI (GenAI), can assist with data organization and repetitive tasks, they cannot replace the clinical judgment and expertise required for competent legal and rehabilitation practice. The use of AI-generated evidence in legal settings must comply with established standards for expert testimony, ensuring reliability, transparency, and human oversight. The article also discusses challenges related to outdated labor market data, the limitations of statistical models for work-life and life expectancy estimates, and the importance of integrating individualized clinical assessments alongside AI outputs. Ethical adherence and ongoing professional evaluation are emphasized as critical for responsibly incorporating AI into forensic VR and LCP.
