Abstract

The article focuses on a case of a 54-year-old female experiencing chronic right hip pain, ultimately diagnosed with protrusio acetabuli after physical therapy and imaging. The patient presented with significant pain and limited range of motion, leading to an orthopedic referral where radiographs confirmed the diagnosis. Following total hip arthroplasty, the patient underwent rehabilitation, resulting in improved mobility and reduced pain. The article emphasizes the importance of considering intra-articular pathologies like protrusio acetabuli in middle-aged patients with unexplained hip pain, particularly when symptoms resemble degenerative joint disease.
