Abstract
A recent study conducted at Herzog Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel, explored the experiences of veterans undergoing somatic experiencing (SE) and prolonged exposure (PE) therapies for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The research involved interviews with thirty participants, revealing commonalities and differences in their therapeutic experiences. The findings suggest that understanding the unique elements of both SE and PE therapies could improve treatment preparation and assignment for individuals with PTSD. This peer-reviewed study provides valuable insights into the effectiveness of these therapeutic approaches for veterans' mental health. [Extracted from the article]
