Abstract
Background and Purpose: Self-efficacy level is an important factor in gaining basic life support skills. This study aimed to test the psychometric properties of the Turkish version of "Basic Resuscitation Skills Self-Efficacy Scale (BRS-SES)," which measures the confidence levels of nursing students. Methods: The data of this methodological study were collected from 387 nursing students from Turkey. Results: A two-dimensional factor structure and 18 items were included in the analysis. Intraclass fit indices were calculated as χ2/degree of freedom = 3.431, root-mean-square error of approximation =.079, and comparative fit index =.957. Conclusion: The study showed that the Turkish version of BRS-SES is a valid and reliable assessment instrument for measuring self-efficacy levels of nursing students in basic life support skills.
