Abstract
The article focuses on how psychological stress triggers a bodywide response involving adrenaline and noradrenaline, leading to anxiety-like behavior through fat breakdown and release of fatty acids that stimulate secretion of growth differentiation factor 15 (GDF15) from immune cells. Topics include stress hormones, metabolic signaling, and the role of GDF15 and its brain receptor Glial cell line-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (GDNF) family receptor alpha-like (GFRAL).
