Abstract

The article discusses research conducted in Trabzon, Turkiye, focusing on the interplay of genetic and environmental factors in nicotine addiction and other substance dependencies. The study, supported by various NIH institutes and other organizations, analyzed 66,936 genetic variants related to nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) and cytochrome P450 genes, utilizing a dataset of 2,969 individuals.
