Abstract

This article focuses on evaluating the effects of Drolessano®, a dietary supplement composed of antioxidants and bioactive compounds, on prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels and urinary symptoms in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). In a pilot study involving 55 men with elevated PSA and mild lower urinary tract symptoms, daily administration of Drolessano® for six months resulted in a statistically significant reduction in average PSA levels from 4.8 to 3.7 ng/mL and a modest improvement in urinary symptoms measured by the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS). The supplement was well tolerated with no serious adverse effects reported. While these preliminary findings suggest potential benefits of Drolessano® as a complementary approach in managing BPH, the authors note the need for larger, controlled trials to confirm efficacy and clarify mechanisms of action.
