Abstract
The article focuses on the relationship between sensory processing disorder (SPD) and various psychiatric disorders, highlighting its implications for diagnosis and treatment. Research from the Poznan University of Physical Education indicates that SPD can significantly relate to conditions such as autism spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders, and schizophrenia. Utilizing Winnie Dunn's Four Quadrant Model, the study categorizes sensory processing into four types, emphasizing the importance of sensory therapy as a complementary approach to traditional psychiatric treatments. The findings suggest that further research is necessary to enhance therapeutic strategies and improve the quality of life for individuals with psychiatric diagnoses. [Extracted from the article]
