Abstract

A study conducted at Quaid-i-Azam University in Islamabad, Pakistan, explores the social contexts driving hashish use among youth. The research found that the community environment, availability, social events, and local discourses about hashish create a social web that influences young individuals towards hashish. The study utilized qualitative research methods and in-depth interviews with young males aged 18-25 in District Bajaur of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The findings shed light on the significant role of social factors in shaping drug use behavior. [Extracted from the article]
