Abstract

A recent study conducted at Western University in Canada explored the effects of a LEGO intervention on social interactions for children on the autism spectrum in China. The study involved four children, ages 6-7, and utilized a multiple probe design across four families. The results showed that the LEGO intervention led to improvements in the children's social initiations and responses, which were maintained for at least 7 weeks after the intervention. The findings suggest that this family-implemented intervention can have positive effects on social interactions for children with autism in China. [Extracted from the article]
