Abstract
This study investigates the relationship between intensive care nurses' attitudes toward organ donation, euthanasia, and terminal patients and their levels of moral sensitivity. Conducted with 175 intensive care nurses in Turkey, the research found that nurses generally held positive attitudes toward organ donation and moderate moral sensitivity levels, while their attitudes toward euthanasia, death, and terminal patients were negative. A significant positive correlation existed between nurses' moral sensitivity and their positive attitudes toward organ donation, but no such relationship was found regarding euthanasia or care for terminal patients. The findings highlight the importance of enhancing nurses' ethical sensitivity and attitudes through targeted education to improve end-of-life care quality and ethical decision-making in intensive care settings.
