Abstract

The article focuses on the resurgence of double-breasted suits in financial districts across the country, signaling a shift away from pandemic-era casual wear toward traditional office attire. Originating from 19th-century British aristocratic sporting coats and popularized in the 1920s by Edward, Prince of Wales, the double-breasted jacket experienced fluctuating popularity through the decades, influenced by cultural icons such as jazz musicians and media portrayals like the 1987 film *Wall Street* and the TV show *Suits*. After declining in the mid-20th century, the style has recently reemerged not only on runways and red carpets but notably in everyday street fashion, reflecting a renewed emphasis on formal business dress.
