Abstract

The article explores how Connecticut has experienced significant temperature variations and how, similarly, astronauts face extreme temperature challenges in spacewalks. It highlights the crucial role played by Hamilton Standard, a Connecticut company, in designing space suits, particularly the Portable Life Support System (PLSS), enabling astronauts like Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin to make historic moonwalks in 1969 and contributing to the advancement of space exploration.
